The work by its nature is diverse, ranging from sports facilities, student accommodation, teaching space, lecture theatres, laboratories to advanced technology clusters.
The change in teaching methods has generated a review of the engineering solutions, particularly in laboratories, teaching spaces and computer clusters. The practice has and is introducing passive and energy saving solutions into projects, such as displacement ventilation, solar shading, night time cooling and Termodeck solutions.
A number of highly developed lecture theatres have been undertaken in recent years, incorporating displacement ventilation, state of the art data solutions for student learning and video conferencing.
We have taken on a number of PFI School Projects for other building services consultancies.
Typical work undertaken includes a new children’s centre to be built on the existing site as an extension to the main school building.
